Situated on the east coast of Cyprus, north of Famagusta and well signposted from whichever direction you approach. A cooling swim is most welcome after the heat of walking around Salamis ruins. Facilities; Restaurant showers, sun loungers and sunshades.
Head for Famagusta and when you reach the city turn left at the roundabout. Keep going straight for about 4 km until you spot the sign for Glapsides Beach to the right. This beach is only 200m away from the Bediz Beach and is one of the busiest beaches around Famagusta . It is a long and sandy Cyprus beach with shallow water up to 150 m from the shore. Facilities available are Glapsides Restaurant, bar, mini market, showers, cheap sun loungers with sunshades and dolphin rides. You will be surrounded by young people, majority of whom university students, and from the bar you will hear dance and club music mixed by a DJ. During the summer nights dance parties are organized.
Situated at the far south of the Salamis ruins, this is a great spot for swimming and snorkeling. The sand shelves slowly making it safe for children. It is most interesting to explore the now submerged harbor of the ancient city. There are not many facilities here other than cafeteria.
The most magnificent beach in the whole Cyprus, a great crescent of golden sand surrounded by dunes and broken into two unequal parts a promontory, fills Nagomi Bay, in Karpas peninsula.
