The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus can be reached by both sea and air.
Traveling
by air is the easiest way how to get to North Cyprus swiftly
and securely.
If you want a flight to Northern Cyprus, you can pick up one of the airways, including Turkish Airlines or Cyprus Turkish Airlines flying to Ercan International Airport situated directly in Turkish Republic of Norhern Cyprus, or book a flight to Larnaca in the south part of the Cyprus island.
North Cyprus can be reached from all over the
world via Turkey. You can choose from frequent scheduled and
charter flights leaving England and other European countries
for Northern Cyprus and find a suitable and cheap flight to
Cyprus Island. More than 90 flights per week arrive at North
Cyprus' Ercan
International Airport during the summer. There are 20
flights from three airports of London, Stansted, Gatwick and
Heathrow, most of which arrive in the evening. North Cyprus
has direct air links only with Turkey, where all planes from
Europe must first touch down. Due to the fact that the Turkish
Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) is not recognized as a
valid state, it is necessary to make a stopover in Turkey
when flying to the airport of Ercan.
The stopovers usually take place at one of the following airports:
Izmir, Istanbul, Ankara, Adana or Antalya. The stopover, in
general, lasts about an hour and, in the case of Cyprus
Turkish Airlines and Onur Air, passengers are not normally
required to change aircraft.
However, when traveling with Turkish
Airlines there is nearly always a change of aircraft and
sometimes a stopover at Istanbul Airport. Passengers are required
to wait in the transit lounge and obtain a boarding pass of
their ongoing flight to Northern Cyprus.
If you are traveling to North Cyprus from Turkey, you can choose from number
of scheduled flights from Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara, Adana and
Antalya. Charter flights are available at weekends and on
public holidays. The flight time between North Cyprus and
main airports of Turkey is only sixty to ninety minutes.
You can use Cyprus Turkish Airlines or Turkish Airlines that
all provide an important network from international airports to Ercan via Turkey. More information, timetable, reservation,
prices and other inquiries can be made at the websites or
the offices of the above mentioned airlines and also from
the travel agents and foreign representatives. The airlines
to Northern Cyprus all provide you with an e-commerce.

time.
